hmm... now that I think about it, I can't really explain myself in words here. I have some feelings regarding my participation in this Square Enix contest thing. They mostly involve me going nuts. I don't really know why. It sounds a lot like this: argargargargarg.

Designing a male character now. Will attempt to design another female or two and some enemies. Maybe. More characters if I can possibly squeeze them out of my brain.

Hey all. I've been in Japan just over a week now, so let me give you the run-down:

-Cherry blossoms/sakura are amazing. They fall like snow (not that I've seen snow in real life) and if my video camera battery hadn't betrayed me I could have gotten so many dramatic anime-like footage when I went on (to?) hanami (flower-viewing-- basically you sit under sakura trees and eat and drink. I don't drink so instead we quested for photographs) but NO. It still won't charge all the way.... very upsetting.
-No, I didn't take any pictures. Stupid, ne? Actually ~fairytaledreams had the camera so I kinda left her to it. She took like a million and they're quite good. I'm jealous.
-It's raining now (just started yesterday...) so I don't think I'll get a chance to film anymore sakura petals.... it sucks majorly. (Sakura is very delicate and doesn't have a long season, so the weather which is... was starting to get "warm" + the recent rains have helped speed up the process.)
-Cold. I am from Hawaii. I am cold. I am wearing leggings, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, a jacket, and a coat. Right now. And I'm inside. Granted it's nighttime and I haven't turned on the heater yet. But yes. I don't do well in cold. It was getting warmer but now it's started raining and it's colder than before.
-I love my apartment. It is awesome. It was in construction maybe a month ago so it's NEW. Completely. Utterly. New. It's great.
-...I miss my mattress though.
-Classes haven't started yet, but this is my first "day-off," what with grocery shopping, shopping for cooking items, toilet paper and other essentials, and all the blooming orientations and that placement test I totally failed. Yeah, today was spent cutting hair, venturing out into the cold and wet like idiots to buy some groceries, watching Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, and cooking ramen. Like on a stove.
-Have I mentioned the kitchen is extremely unfamiliar territory to me?
-I wish my video camera would be nice and CHARGE.

hn. I think that's it for now. Oh. And this is basically my first chance to write a journal on here since... I got here. I'm borrowing someone else's LAN cable at the moment. Borrowed in yesterday too, but had to give it back really soon so I only got to check my email. Anyway.

My Facts:

1. I am half Japanese, a quarter Hungarian, and a quarter Czechoslovakian.

2. The first time I played Ocarina of Time, I had someone do the Shadow Temple for me. That place is creepy! and I'm lame like that.

3. I have tried my hand at many things, but only stuck to drawing and musical theatre. My repertoire includes ballet, hula, jazz dance, tap dance, piano, horseback riding, ice skating, tennis, bowling, and sculpting. If there's anything else I can't think of it right now, but I haven't been able to stick with any of them.

4. The first voice actor I ever admired was Petrea Burchard, voice of Ryoko for the majority of the Tenchi series.

5. I've still never watched Titanic.

6. Apart from not being able to stick to a hobby, I can't stick to a language. I took French in high school, Italian in my freshman year of college, and Japanese this past semester. Hopefully going to Japan will get me to learn the damn language and get on with my life. (I also took Spanish in 7th grade and Japanese in 8th grade because it was required of us at my school.)

7. I also dabble in fan fiction, but I'm better at writing small scenes than full stories. Ficlets, I guess. After a recent piece of writing I did concerning the Song of the Lioness series, (book series, that is) ~fairytaledreams encouraged me to get a fanfiction.net account, and I'm seriously considering it.

8. 24 hours ago I had just over 1 GB of free space on this computer. After transferring some movie files to my external hard drive (hooray, it works) and deleting some pictures and Word documents, I now have 21.36 GB. I think I need to get more memory installed...

Not that I've thought this out well. I should have opened this up ages ago. But no. I choose the week before I leave for Japan. Brilliant, me.
Furthermore, I don't know if I'll have access to a scanner... or more importantly, a good scanner while I'm in Japan, so we'll see what happens with that. Anyhow.

um... ok. Well sufficed to say, I won't be taking a great deal of them this time around. 5 sounds like a safe number, maybe more if I think I can handle it. But 5 to start. So please, if you are interested, read the following:

1. I will take commissions BY NOTES, NOT COMMENTS, and in the order that I receive them. In other words:
2. First come, first serve.
3. Median price $10 I'd say. But basically everything is up for negotiation, depending on what is being asked.
4. Payment by paypal, please. Half when the commission is accepted, and half upon completion.
5. And yeah, no hentai or similar.

**If you can't get a paypal account for whatever reason, I don't mind payment by regular mail, but I won't start working on it until I receive the first payment, and I don't know how willing you might be to send things to Japan...
